Dharmendra Sewan is a singer-songwriter from Pokhara. He auditioned for the inaugural season of Nepali Tara; he finished as runner-up on the show behind winner Deepak Limbu. He rose to fame right away after Nepali Tara and got involved in Nepali music industry which earned him huge fan following and countrywide popularity. He is also a great stage performer.

Early Years

Dharmendra Sewan was born in March 15 to great singer and musician Buddhi Pariyar and Dhana Maya Sewan Pariyar in the most beautiful city Pokhara. He finished his school from Adarsha Nima Ma. Vidyalaya and came to Kathmandu for further studies as he joined Ratna Rajya Laxmi College. His hobbies are composing songs, travelling, reading books and watching movies. As his father was a great musician, Dharmendra was into music from an early age. He sang and performed through many musicals throughout his school and college.

Musical Career

Dharmendra Sewan's musical journey started as he auditioned for the first season of Nepali Tara by singing "Khotalne Bitholne Nagarnu Malai". He impressed the three legendary judges right away. He was one of the strongest contenders for the Nepali Tara title but ended up as a runner-up. Before fame, he used to have a band called Damage Glitters. Later he started singing in pubs and bars; mostly western song as Pokhara is Nepal's best tourist destination. He made a remake of his father's song 'Herda Ramro Machhapuchre' which became a big hit and he immediately came to light in the music industry. He has now established himself as a playback singer as well. Dharmendra is currently busy doing music and travelling Nepal and foreign countries for the shows.
