Early Years

Nikhita Thapa was born on February 3, 1993 in Kurseong, Darjeeling as her father was an Indian army. She was into music since childhood as her father was a musician and a lyricist. After seeing her enthusiasm in music, her family always encouraged and motivated her to enter the world os music. She started to sing from the tender age of 3. She has taken formal music classes from renowned music teacher in Mumbai as her father was transferred there to do his army duty. Nikhita has participated and won many singing competitions. She took seven years of formal training and also graduated in commerce.

Musical Career

Nikhita Thapa's musical journey began when she came to Kathmandu to visit her relatives where she met famous and talented musician Rajan Ishan who was mesmerized by her voice and gave her opportunity to sing in a movie called 3 Lovers. That experience played a vital role to start her musical career as she came in close contact with Nepali music industry. After almost two years of hard work, lyricist Dinesh Adhikari wrote lyrics for her and composed by Hari Lamsal, she released her very first album 'Nikhita'. The song 'Sadhai Sunna Pau' became huge hit and won awards such as Best Composition, Best Female Vocal and Best Album of The Year. Nikhita has established herself as a playback singer in Nepali movies and had performed in many songs.
