Aastha Raut is a leading Nepali pop and playback female singer who is famous for her bold and unique voice. She became a celebrity when she performed the remix version of Uma Gurung's "Salko Paat Tapari Gasera" when she was still in her teens. She gets overwhelming response from the audience while performing on the stage.

Early Years

Aastha Raut belongs to a musical family as her father is a famous folk singer Hari Bahadur Raut and her mother Sabitri Raut is a lyricist. She took music lesson and guidance from renowned musician Suresh Adhikari. She used to take part in many children song competition from her school days always wining first or second prize. She participated and won three times in District Level Children Song Competition. Her first recorded song was "Chora Lai Padne Pathshala, Chori Lai Ghase Pakha Bhir" when she only in class 5.

Musical Career

Aastha Raut started gaining more popularity when her song "Chaubandi Ma patuki" and "Jhumke Bulaki" released from her album Aadhar. Undoubtly those songs became one of the most important works of her career. "Maya Yo Maya" from the movie Maya's Bar also became a huge hit. She has given her voice in many Nepali movies and different collection album.
