Deepak Limbu is an established playback singer who gained national attention for winning the inaugural season of Nepali Tara in 2005 which earned him record deal and nationwide recognition.

Early Years

Deepak Limbu had to face a lot of struggle during his childhood as he lost his both parents when he was only 9 years old. He grew up with his sibling. After 7th standard he went to live with his sister in Dharan where he passed his SLC examination from Dharan Public School. His lifestyle changed a bit in Dharan as he sang and performed in dramas and deusi/bhailo programs where people appreciated and praised him for his singing. In 2057 BS he took formal music class from Guru Anu Shree Benarjee and Priya Darshi Binod Rai. Then he participated in 'Timro Sur Mero Geet' broadcasted in Nepal Television and he grabbed the title. Again he won in 'First Eastern Modern Song Competition' in 2058 BS. This way he was struggling in music as well as continuing his education.

Musical Career

Upon returning to the capital city Kathmandu, Deepak Limbu auditioned for the first season of Nepali Tara. He touched the hearts of many people with his vocal and won the title of Nepali Tara Season one. After Nepali Tara he got a breakthrough chance to sing for Rekha Thapa's movie Himmat. The song 'Maile Tei Bhayera Man Parako' became super hit and there was no looking back for him. He has released his solo albums as well as gave his voice in collection albums. He has proven his versatility in the field of music in various genres.
