Early Years

Himal Sagar was born on October 24, 1980 in Jhapa Nepal. His father is in a teaching profession and his mother is a social worker. He completed his schooling from Shree Laxmi Ma. Vi. and he continued his further education from Mechi Multiple Campus. He used to participate in his school and college cultural programs. He started to sing from an early age of 11.

Musical Career

Himal Sagar's musical journey began when he came to Kathmandu to meet his sister for Tihar festival; his relatives encouraged him to follow his dream as an artist. In 2003, he joined Asian Himalayan Music School and got trained by Santa Bahadur Gautam. In the same year he recorded his first song 'Chandrama Jhai Muhar Timro' from his first album Relation. The album did not work in the beginning but slowly started gaining popularity. In 2006, he released his second album 'For You' and the song 'Mero Maya Mare Pachi' became a huge hit and became turning point for him. After that he never had to look back. He rose to fame and people loved his songs. He continued releasing albums Tyo Din (2003), Tell Me (2011), Last Love (2012), Kahani (2013), True Love (2013), Fulee (2014) and October 24 (2016). Himal sagar has established himself as a modern, pop, romantic, ghazal and playback singer and has travelled around the word for concerts.
