Indira Joshi is one of the most popular female singer and songwriter. She's a great dancer as well and often called as Nepali Shakira for her belly dancing. She gets overwhelming response from enthusiastic crowds while performing in a concert.

Early Years

Born and brought up in Nawalparasi, Nepal to father Janhami Prasad Joshi and mother Alakh Nanda Joshi. She studied in Little Plant School till class 5 and Sayapatri Higher Secondary School till SLC exams. Then she joined Peoples Campus in Kathmandu as well as taking music class in Doremi Music School to follow her dream career as an artist.

Musical Career

Indira Joshi was passionate about music from early childhood as she grabbed the second position in District level Lok Geet Competition where she performed Lagyo Baduli song. She also participated and won the title in Nepal Television's Children Program "Ko Bhanda Ko Kam". She then competed in the first season of singing reality show Nepali Tara. She gave her voice in the song Machhi Marana Hey Dai Ho. After Nepali Tara, she kicked off the journey in the music industry with the album Dance With Me. Her song Rato Ghangara from the same album conveyed huge fame for the singer.
