Santosh Lama is a pop and playback singer and winner of Nepali Tara Season 2. He was the second runner up of 'Timro Sur Mero Geet' and winner of 'Sursargam' which he took part while he was still in school. After holding the title of Sursangam he recorded a song 'Euta Phool Saro Ramro' penned by his elder brother Sanjay Lama.

Early Years

Santosh Lama was born on July 21, 1986 in Naubise, Dhading to Surendra Lama and Bishnu Maya Lama as the youngest son of the family. Sadly his father passed away when he was still a child. He has one sister and two brothers who introduced him to the world of music as they used to hum popular songs aired on television and radio. Even though none of his family members comes from a musical background, they always supported Santosh in his musical activities. Santosh completed his Bachelor's Degree in Major English from Ratna Rajya College. He took vocal training from Doremi Music School.

Musical Career

Santosh Lama's musical journey started when he participated in Nepali Tara Seaosn 1 and reached to top 20. When Nepali Tara Season 2 was back Santosh again participated but this time he came out as a winner. After winning Nepali Tara he was introduced to Nepali music industry. He still had to struggle even after winning the title. Fortunately, he got an offer from renowned music director Chetan Sapkota to sing a song 'K Saro Chitikka Mileko' for the movie Bhagwan Sabaiko. He went on singing for movies like Visa Girl, First Love, Swor, Nigrani, Pritiko Phool,Loot Company and many more. His debut album 'Batuwa' earned him nomination in many awards while he grabbed the Best New Artists at Annapurna Awards. 'Kasle Suruwat Garyo Hola' from the album 'Man Bhitra' became super hit. He released other albums such as Ambar and Akshata. He co-hosted Nepali Tara Season 3 with Dharmendra Sewan, Runner up of Nepali Tara Season 1. He collaborated with Indira Joshi and Sri Lankan Star Iraj in the super hit song 'Behuli'. Santosh is one talented artist who is a great fan of legends like Narayan Gopal, Bhakta Raj Acharya, Gopal Yonzon and Deep Shrestha.
