Hercules Basnet is a singer, music director, composer and a songwriter. He gained popularity with his debut song 'K Yo Maya Ho' from the blockbuster movie Jerryy. He has written, sung and composed the song. His idol is Swor Samrat Narayan Gopal and a great fan of international artists such as Bryan Adams and Steven Taylor.

Early Years

Hercules Basnet was born into family of great musician Kumar Basnet and Santosh Basnet. As he understood music closely since childhood, He used to sing classic hit 'Maya K Hola' with his friends. He used to practice a lot and can caricature singers. Hercules started from a small studio writing lyrics and programming it. He has taken part in a singing competition called 'Pepsi Voice of Nepal' and has reached to top 10.

Musical Career

Herlules Basnet got huge recognition from K Yo Maya Ho from the super hit movie Jerryy. Pop Star Naren Limbu, who was the music director of the movie, approached and offered him to perform the song. He has composed and sung two of the songs from the movie 'K Yo Maya Ho' and 'Chahanchu'. He has been constantly writing and composing songs. 'Maya Le Boleko' from the movie Karkhana also became a huge hit and he was the lyricist and music director of the song. Being not only a vocalist but also a composer, a songwriter, music director and can play harmonica, flute, bass guitar, congo, djembe, Hercules is definitely a multitalented personality.
