Karna Das is one of the prominent and melodious singers of Nepal. He is also a songwriter, composer and a record producer. He is known for his powerful heart touching voice.

Early Years

Karna Das was born in Pokhara. He completed high school in 1993 and studied economics in college. He is married with three children. His favorite artists are Elton John, Richard Michael, Narayan Gopal, Jagajit Singh and Lata Mangeshkar.

Musical Career

Karna Das's musical career began in 1997 with the band Madhyanna, he was the lead vocalist and released a very first song "Jindagi Ko K Bharosa". The song was the turning point for the band especially Karna Das as they gain nationwide popularity and played a major role to establish him in Nepali music industry. Most of Karna's songs are heart touching and sentimental. His most loved patriotic song was Thula Thula Mahal Hoina, which he wrote himself, for that he was honored with many awards.

Karna Das's released albums are Madhyanna (1997), Madhyanna-2 (1998), Madhyanna-3 (2001), Berthai Feri, Purano Dunga (2003), Adha Sapana (2005), Preet (2007). Sadly he went to the USA for work and came back to Nepal after 10 years and came up with new album 'Euta Naya Asha' in 2016 with a grand album launch and press meet at Hotel Annapurna.
