Nishan Bhattarai is a young singer who rose to fame in 2017 as the runner up of the first season of International franchise show Nepal Idol. Even though ending up as the first runner up, Nishan Bhattarai won the heart of many people and the judges with his soulful vocal.

Early Years

Nishan Bhattarai was born on 15th of June, 1996 in Morang district. He finished his school and high school education there and came to Kathmandu for higher studies. Currently he is doing his Bachelor's in Shankar Dev College. He sang and performed through many musicals throughout his school and college.

Musical Career

Nishan Bhattarai's musical journey began as he auditioned for inaugural season of Nepal Idol by singing 'Jindagi Lai Jeet Haina Haar Le Swagat Gari' from old Nepali movie Maitighar. He impressed the three judges immediately. He gave his best throughout Nepal Idol journey. He performed Ukali Orali Gardai, Aamai Le Bhanthe, Daiba Hey and many more. He was one of the strongest contestants for the title from the beginning but ended up as the first runner up. Buddha Lama, the winner, Nishan and second runner up Pratap Das is currently on a Nepal Idol World Tour. After gaining nationwide popularity he released his first solo song Aafnai Chhaya followed by Katai Milan and Korera Mitha Bhavharu.
