Pratap Das is a young pop and playback singer. He was the second runner up of Nepal Idol season one and he secured fourth position in Nepali Tara season three. He delivered progressive performance throughout Nepal Idol. He won many hearts with his beautiful smile and soulful voice.

Early Years

Pratap Das belongs to a family where everyone is a music enthusiast. He did his schooling from Jyotidada School. He sang and performed through many musicals throughout his school functions. After school, he joined Kalandini Indira Sangeet School learning music from Dhana Bahadur Gopali. Pratap always wanted to do something in music field and make his parents proud.

Musical Career

Before participating in Nepal Idol, Pratap Das was a struggling musician who was seeking for opportunity to present his talent. He was doing back vocals for movie songs and performs in hotels and restaurants in the evening. He even sang along with Indira Joshi in "Motorcycle Ma" from the hit movie Prem geet 2. He recorded many other songs that were not aired. Nepal Idol became the turning point in his life. He says that if not for Nepal Idol, he would still be struggling to achieve his goals. Pratap has now sung in many Nepali movies and released his own solo songs. He has proven his versatility in the field of music in various genres.
