Ranjan Rijal was born on 1 st November to father, Ram Prasad Rijal and mother Sita Rijal in Dhading, Nepal. He did his schooling up to class 7 from Bachchla Devi Ma Vi, Dhading then he was shifted to Bardiya with his family and did rest of schooling from Kisan Ma Vi at jaypur, Bardiya. He moved to Kathmandu for further study and joined Shankar Deve College, Bagbazaar and completed his PCL and Bachleor. He pursued his Masters in commerce from the same College.

Ranjan Rijal started his modelling career while he was studying in Shankar Dev College, at first he was not interested to do modelling but at least once he wanted to see himself in the Television. So he was looking for an opportunity. All of a sudden he came to introduce with the popular music video director Alok Nembang. Later he gave him a brake and finally he was debut on music video Mero Maya Mare Pachhi by Himal Sagar. The music video became very popular and was noticed by many directors. After that he never see back.

As a model he did his career’s second song Dherai Din Bho Timro Jhajhalko by singer Amar Tandukar, which was also hit. After both songs were hit, he got an offer one after another and he appeared on more than 200 Nepali music videos.
