Samir Ghising known professionally as VTEN is a young Nepalese rapper and songwriter. He started his career with the song Churot which gave him a big name in Nephop industry.

Early Years

VTEN was born to father Kapil Babu Lama and mother Hema Lama. He has two sisters Selina and Simron. In one interviews VTEN said that his father is his inspiration and motivation. VTEN is a huge fan of International rapper Eminem. One of his very close friends randomly named him VTEN as a nick name around friends but Samir loved the name and made it his professional name.

Musical Career

VTEN was interested in rap since early years. The very first rap song he listened was of Eminem. He then kept listening to rap songs and got more interested in it. Later, he started writing and battled in Rap Battle show RawBarz. His first song was live in Rapper Girish Khatowada's vlog. That song became viral on YouTube giving a new name in NepHop industry. His Simsime Paani was doing great but became controversial as the tuning was copied from Rekha Shah's folk song with the same name Simsime Paani Ma. The video was deleted from YouTube but his fan following grew more each and every day. VTEN collaborated with Dharmendra Sewan in his new song 'Katha'. The song is about everyday struggle of a father. It's a very heart touching song.
