Girish Khatiwada is the first Nepali rapper. He introduced Nepali Hip-hop known as Nephop to Nepal in the year 1993. He is a rapper, singer, vlogger and radio jockey. He is 5.8 feet tall. Also known as 'Gorkhali G', Girish introduced rap/Hiphop first time in Nepal at the age of 15. He is also the top 3 vlogger of Nepal.

Early Years

Girish Khatiwada was born and brought up in Biratnagar. He graduated from Nepal but did his MBA from the USA where he learnt DJ-ing, music production and returned to Nepal in 2011. He is also a radio jockey in Radio Kantipur.

Musical Career

Girish Khatiwada is also known as the Father of Nepali Hip-hop aka Nephop. He released the first Nepali hip-hip song "Meaningless Rap" from the album Talents-3. He then teamed up with Pranil L Timilsina and released second studio album Back Again. The album Back Again included a song 'Ma Yesto Chu' which peaked at number 1 on radio and television. He gave hit songs like Tolai Baschu, Lakhar Lakhar, Sadak Ko Army, Be What You Wanna Be and Paisa Ko Saukheen etc. He is now a successful rapper and vlogger.
