Early Years

Mingma Sherpa was born on 23 September, 1980 in Khumbu, Lukla, Nepal in a Sherpa family. He is the youngest member of his family. His elder brother Dawa Tsering Sherpa is a songwriter. Mingma is very dedicated towards his family and friends as well as music which make his personality beautiful inside and out.

Musical Career

Mingma Sherpa began his musical career in the year 2000 with album Yathartha. The song "Timro Mayale Dohorayo Malai" played the vital role to establish him in Nepali music industry. Then his next album Feel turned him into a superstar overnight. He gained popularity after having released the top songs Bhumarima, Chham Chham and Namuna. He was also honored with the Heartbeat of Pokhara city and was nominated in the Image award as Best New Artist. His most popular songs are Namuna, Sojhai Hana, Chham Chham, Aashu Jhardina Ma, Timro Tyo Hasilo Muhar ,Timro Mayale Dohorayo Malai and Jaama Jaama etc.
