Early Years

Shiva Pariyar was born on February 22, 1982 in Hajariya, Sarlahi to Sadhu Ram Pariyar and Man Kumari Pariyar. Music has been Shiva's passion from childhood, as he participated and won the first prize on district level child song competition on behalf of his school. He then started gaining popularity and performed in local musical concerts. These successes opened the door of opportunity to participate on National Level Child Song competition. He won the gold medal in National Modern Music Competition hosted by Radio Nepal in 2003. His first musical instrument is madal he learned when he was 14 years old. He did a classical music course undertaking musical instrument Tabala under the guidance of Guru Rabilal Shrestha and also did one year guitar course on western music with Raj Kumar Malakar.

Musical Career

Shiva Pariyar has established himself as a classical, pop, modern, ghazal, sufi and folk singer. He released his first solo album Mokshya in the year 2005. His other album comprise of Swayam (2008), Kadambini (2008), Kya Daami ( 2009), Phateko Man (2010), Pagal (2011), Kathale Mage Pachhi (2012), Only You 'Mero Sathi' (2012),Tadhako Sathi (2013). HIs most popular songs such as Ali Kati Najar, Kahan Thiyau Timi Ranga Mancha, Dherai Choti Mare Mata profiled him as a renowned singer of Nepal. He is popular for rendering his voice in many Nepali movies.
