Rajan Ishan is a renowned and one of the best Nepali singer, song-writer, composer, actor and music arranger. It was the success of one of his biggest hit, Bas Ma Chaina Mero Man made him well-known and successful in the industry in 1990s.

Early Years

Rajan Ishan was born and brought up in Kathmandu. He did his schooling in Nepal. After finishing his higher level education, he joined Sadhana Kala Kendra music school. He also studied in India.

Musical Career

Rajan Ishan has passion for music from an early age and in his late teens; he decided to take up on music as his future. He is now one the highest paid and most popular music composer and arranger in Nepal. After his first song Bas ma Chaina Mero Man was released in 1990s was a huge hit, there has been no looking back since then. His current blockbuster song Kutu Ma Kutu, him as a playback singer and arranger, is the highest viewed Nepali song on YouTube.

International Projects

Rajan Ishan has worked for international project SF (Schweizer Fernshen), a Swiss National television appointed Rajan Ishan as a music composer for an award winning documentary Sherpa: Die Wahren Helden am Everest. The documentary was honored as the Best International Film by KIMFF awards in 2009. Rajan has worked with renowned Indian music company Zee Music as a music arranger and programmer.

Movie Career

He started his movie career with the movie Karkash in 2012 followed by Awaran 2014, Dui Rupaiya and Rudrapriya in 2017. The song Kutu Ma Kutu from the movie Dui Rupaiya is the highest viewed Nepali song on YouTube.
